My local news. What a hoot!
The lead off story, with Mr. Beautiful anchorman:

"Well, you've all heard the news, and remembering Ronald Reagan was sure to bring a smile to everyone's faces."

?

Not mine.

2. Ah yes, I remember the Reagan years
when I was 10 until I was 18, getting beaten by my parents daily, dragging my passed out stepfather to bed, having beer bottles thrown at me by him, being suicidal....

Oh wait, we were talking about Reagan right?

Yeah, those were great years.....the fear of a cold war...STILL.....the Iran Contra hearings. Here in TX we had the oil and real estate bust and the accompanying horrible economy.....we had incredible conformity.....

Uh-huh. Brought a smile to my.....wait....no smiles here. Nevermind.

3. Well, I'm sure we can agree
That the nation is deeply in Reagan's debt.

5. Under Reagan the Big Three went from being Ford, GM, & Chrysler to
being Wendy's, McDonald's, and Burger King !!

I know a Chrysler factory town from the 80's where things got so bad people were just dropping off their house keys, and mortgage payment books at the drive-up bank window, and saying, "here I can't make the payments anymore, I'm heading south where it's warmer."

But Reagan was so affable wasn't he?

4. Laughing, laughing.
Which reminds me: can't wait for "Fox and Friends" tomorrow morning. Their inanity is the bizarro world equivalent of brilliance.
