do you even think the RW boards would have that same kinds of discussions over insensitivity to Paul Wellstone?

The fact that we do have many members who are being respectful says enough. We don't need 100% aggreement on the proper way to behave. Plus, it's equally tacky to use someone elses un-PC opinions as a way to make yourself feel superior. I'm not saying everybody's doing that, but I wonder about the ones who "doth protest too much."

There are tons of threads where this sentiment would fit in perfectly--I just don't see how creating another thread with this opinion (oft-expressed already) helps matters.

More posts can be read that are blathering about the right and wrong of the 'grave-pissers' than there are actual 'grave-pissing' posts--it's truly surreal. DUers have a perfect right to grave-piss whenever the hell they want, but DUers also have a perfect right to have an opinion ont he grave-pissers, and I have a perfect right to have an opinion on you, and you have a right to have an opinion on me.

Another problem is people are conflating a dislike for celebrating death with an attempt to hush up criticism of Reagan. They are two mutually exclusive things, and I have made several heated posts excoriating the wretch for his helping to cause both the crack explosion and the AIDS epidemic. I just don't see why we need to celebrate that he is dead--one can blast his horrible presidency and career without doing so.
