The other day, I was listening to a tape made by Rick Wiles. His guest was a woman named Tatyana Koryagina. Mrs. Koryagina is a leading economist and major research fellow at the Institute of Macro Economics Research, which is under the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
Dr. Koragina is a trusted advisor to Russia’s President, Vladamir Putin. She gained prominence by accurately predicting the collapse of the Russian economy in 1998.
Then…on July 12th 2001, she predicted the collapse of the American economy after an attack on the US. This is pretty scary as she predicted this to happen on August 19th…which…ironically was only a few weeks before the attack on the World Trade Center.

She wouldn’t get much more specific but went on to say that these groups have realized that their slow growth movement has lost its appeal and is losing momentum. Her research showed that the American and world economies are going to literally explode and come to a total collapse very soon and they needed to do something to lay blame at some else’s doorstep. She then said something that really piqued my interest and alluded to some of the players. She said, “For instance, who is responsible for the loss of 5 trillion dollars of the American peoples money in securities, in a collapsed market? She also brought up the issue of massive insider trading just days before the WTC attack and went on to say that there are volumes of documentation available beyond the mountain of evidence in her possession. She said the trail would lead directly to the most prestigious and wealthiest people in the world therefore they needed something to preoccupy the suspicious. Also mentioned was the coming rollacoster ride in oil prices due to the Israeli and Palestinian conflict that will no doubt erupt soon. Her belief in the world economy collapse is based on the estimation of the world wealth, about 450 trillion dollars by most economists account,in securities, futures, etc…and the known outcome of the worlds markets is only thirty trillion. This vast gap cannot be concealed much longer.

Pravda Wrote of Financial 'Attack' on U.S.
Consider the July 12, 2001, Page One report in Pravda – still considered the establishment voice of Russia's old guard communists who control the military and intelligence agencies.
The Pravda article was entitled "Will the Dollar and America Fall Down on August 19? That's the Opinion of Dr. Tatyana Koryagina, Who Very predicted the August Default in 1998."
This article struck me for several reasons. Major newspapers so closely aligned with the government do not attempt to create panic or fear in the public – unless the government wants this information to be publicly aired.

This Pravda article was published about the same time as another strange event that took place in early July in the Russian State Duma.
The Duma held a conference entitled "On the measures to provide the development of Russian economy in the environment of destabilization of the world financial system."

The hearings focused on preparing recommendations for President Putin as to what Russia should to do to soften the consequences of this coming catastrophe.

Koryagina: The U.S. is engaged in a mortal economic game. The known history of civilization is merely the visible part of the iceberg. There is a shadow economy, shadow politics and also a shadow history, known to conspirologists. There are forces acting in the world, unstoppable for countries and even continents.

Koryagina: They should start changing their dollars for rubles. President Putin and the Russian Central Bank are already taking the necessary healthy measures. There are high chances that after 19 August the ruble will become a very good currency.
Pravda: Why 19 August, say, and not the 21st?
Koryagina: Some fluctuation in this date is possible. Serious forces are acting against THOSE WHO ARE NOW PREPARING THE ATTACK ON THE UNITED STATES . August, with very high probability, will bring the financial catastrophe to the U.S. ... The last 10 days of August have especial importance from a religious-sensible point of view.

The Duma urged Russian citizens to cash out their dollars and switch to gold, even issued a gold coin right about that time.
