Anybody notice Dubya's dum-dum mispronunciation?
In his remarks about Reagan's death this weekend, Bush pronounced "tyranny" as TIE-ra-nee. What an idiot. Bush said Reagan "laid to rest an era of division and self-doubt and because of his leadership the world laid to rest an era of fear and tyranny."

What a comment to make while his own administration has been nothing but division, doubt, fear and tyranny!

Dubya's response to Tom Brokaw's question of whether he is a "Ronald Reagan Republican" -- that he is a "George W. Republican" -- is just incredible, showing anew what a arrogant simpleton he is. Can't even disguise his narcissism to hit a softball pitch from Brokaw.

I think Reagan's death is a blessing. Thank goodness it didn't happen next month during the Dem Convention.

1. did he say that when he was talking to Brokaw and his wife mentioned
he got choked up about something?

The look on his face was priceless. I only caught that part of it and the surroundings seemed to be in a garden of sorts.

2. I tend to agree with you. I was going to post the site with all the
Bushisms...but I started reading them and got depressed. HE IS THE pRESIDENT OF THE USA, for God's sake!

here is a link:

The latest they had on Slate was this one:
" free Iraq is essential to our respective securities."—Washington, D.C., June 1, 2004

3. ...and I also noticed your erroneous construction of "a arrogant"...
... which is why our criticisms need to be more substantive. (You should have written "an arrogant.") Criticizing Bush for his grammar and his diction only heightens people's interest in evaluating our grammar and diction and distracts from the real and substantive issues. I doubt you'd complain much if Kerry or Clinton mispronounced anything.

If you want to make progress against conservatives, it would be wise to focus on their greedy tax policies and corporate corruption. The return of capital to the workers will not be established on grammar and diction, but on sound and proven economic policies of redistribution, higher wages for the workers, single payer nationalized health care and perhaps salary caps for the extremely rich.

5. I would agree
with this...

"If you want to make progress against conservatives, it would be wise to focus on their greedy tax policies and corporate corruption."

If you were attempting to argue with true conservatives. However, since the great majority of Bush supporters are idiots, this form of attack is useless.
