And so it begins.....
The Divine Ronald Reagan is now 'officially' linked with his Son GWB. On FoxNews they just had a guest, a friend of RR, announce that both RR and GWB had been appointed by God to be President of the US. We've heard the Chimp allude to this before about himself, but they now both have officially been given to us by Heaven.

The only question now is will we soon see the Chimp on a horse at his ranch? Trying to become RR is of course why he bought the Crawford ranch to begin with.

3. Appointed by God?
:wtf:

Listen: if folks are gonna claim that God had a plan in the presidential elections, they HAVE to concede that Clinton's elections (yes, he was elected! twice!) are part of His plan.

Do these fuckups understand ANYTHING?????

6. Actually I think Fundies believe in a kind of
Manichean struggle between good and evil. So in their minds President Reagan and Bush 43 are victories of the will of God while Clintons was a victory for the other side.

On the other hand, they'd probably be uncomfortable saying this outloud.

22. God never assigned 666 to the Clintons
Reagan - 666 St. Cloud address in California, changed by Nancy to 668

Dubya - Born July 6, 1946, at 7:26 a.m.

He would be breaking His own commandment "Thou shalt not steal".

4. Not Likely.
Bush has always been afraid of horses. Recently he has become terrified of M.T. bikes and high tech scooters also.

5. If the RNC does much more of this kind of crap I wonder if Nancy and esp
Ron Jr will step up after this week of mourning and put a stop to this crap.

In other news of RNC's shameless exploitation of Reagan's death, Atrios links to this letter from Gen JC Christian, to the RNC:

12. Ron Jr. AND Nancy
I think both Ron Jr. as a liberal and especially Nancy, whose sole purpose in life is protecting RR in life and death, can and will cause Chimp a lot of trouble if Rove doesn't behave himself. Nancy hates all the Bushies and always has and if Chimp tries to morph himself into Ronnie, Nancy will not stand for it.

17. What if ...

What if Nancy comes out and supports the DEMOCRATS after Reagan's passing????? Wouldn't that be wild. A repudiation of Dubaya by Reagan's widow would be one hell of a blow.

Nancy had no problem supporting stem cell research over the Bush administration's policy. Who knows, in her mind (unscientific) they may have found a cure for Ronnie if Bush hadn't blocked this.

Stem cells have a tremendous potential for treating brain and nervous system disorders. What is remarkable is that stem cells are almost "magic" in the way they work.

24. I don't think anyone will accept Bush as "The Great Communicator"...
...but Rove lives for opportunities like this. It's Satan in his workshop, hammering out a shiny new toy for Dubya to play with.

14. I know how Ron Jr. feels about it.
"My father crapped bigger ones than George Bush."

He's been broadly critical of the whole "Bush Dynasty" all along, so I don't see anybody getting him on the bandwagon unless he's drugged and straitjacketed. It's doubtful Nancy would hop on any bandwagon she wasn't driving, and whatever you may think of her, she certainly wouldn't drive a bandwagon as declasse as this one.

10. Won't last long, I predict
Oh fox will try it... til they get marching orders from the WH because the comparisions are making shrub continue to shrink in the eyes of his shrinking base. They created this (ridiculously false) myth around Reagan. No human (especially one as wraught with shortcomings) can compare to the myth. Each day beyond the funeral (which the fawning public expects) that they try to draw the comparisons is a day that bush looks smaller. If they don't stop he will look like an ameba compared to their manufactured mythic reagan. Rove will call a halt to it before too long - they can't let little george be overshadowed for too long.

20. I agree

The are making Bush look like an ass. He couldn't possibly compare to all this Reagan fawning in the press.

Previous fascist regimes have understood that you must DESTROY the image of past leaders so that you look much better by comparison. They are doing the OPPOSITE.

The irony is that REAL Bill Clinton can actually stand side by side with the Reagan MYTH!!!! This is the REAL reason for the Reagan aura. The Rethugs needed SOMETHING to diminish the brilliance of Clinton.

11. I guess God chose Reagan ...
To be a completely oblivious, insensate slug for the last ten years, unable to use a toilet or write his name ...

Bush was chosen to butcher the english language and have fits of righteous anger ...

Bush was 'chosen' by god to affect the rape of arab men's arses with objects ... because god LOVES anal rape ....

Chuckles ..... this makes my day .... trust me: it does ...

13. The best answer to that is, Clinton must also have been appointed by God.
The idea that God only intercedes in the selection of a president when it's a republican is somehow childish and arrogant thinking.

When the Bush Sr papers are finally released, we are bound to find some nasty surprises. They really shouldn't link Reagan too closely with Pappy Bush.

16. Just dug this up: Ronald Reagan was the first President to be contacted..
Edited on Mon Jun-07-04 09:35 AM by Misunderestimator
"Ronald Reagan was the first President to be contacted directly by Our Lord Jesus Christ while in the White House." And this is on the whitehouse.org site.

Check it out under the "FUN FACTS" column, seventh bullet down:

http://www.whitehouse.org/history/index.asp

And now, after perusing the page... This has to be a joke. Odd... I thought the the site was legit.

21. YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!
I had to look. And sure enough, there it is.

Along with this goodie:

From the magnificent Andrew Jackson, who liberated the Indians from themselves, to Grant, whose administration was the very definition of moral character...

Uhhh... the Grant Administration was one of the most corrupt in our nation's history. Grant himself was an okay guy, but he let his people run all over him. His term was a complete fiasco!

Who writes this shit?

Then I realized the ".org" ending. Nice parody site!!! You got me!
