With apologies to Andrew Loyd Webber and Tim Rice
Oh what a circus, what a show!
America has gone to town
Over the death of a actor
Named Ronald Reagan
It's quite a sunset
And good for the country
In a roundabout way
We've made the front page of all
The world's papers today!

But who is the Saint Ronald Reagan?
Why all this howling, hysterical sorrow?
What sort of godling
Has lived among us
How will we ever get by without him?

He had his moments
He had some style
But the best show in town was the crowd
Out side the U.S. White House
Shouting 'Ronald Reagan!'
But that's all gone now
And as soon as the smoke from the funeral clears
We're all going to see how
HE DID NOTHING FOR YEARS

You've let down your people, Ron Reagan
You were supposed to have been immortal
That's all they wanted
Not much to ask for
But in the end you could not deliver...

SING! You fools, but you've got it wrong
Enjoy your prayers for you haven't got long
Your star is gone, the glamor's worn thin
That's a pretty sad state for a state to be in
Instead of government we had a stage
Instead of ideals a prima donna's rage
Instead of help we were given a crowd
He didn't say much, but he said it loud

And who am I
Who dares to keep
His head held high
While millions weep?
Why the exception to the mood?
Opportunist? Traitor? Fool?
Or just a man
Who grew and saw
From 17 until he was 24
His country bled, Crucified
He's not the only one who died!

1. He's a drug store, truck drivin' man....
And he's the Head of the Ku Klux Klan,
When Summer comes rollin' around,
We'll be lucky to get out of town.

Sung by Joan Baez at Woodstock in honor of "Ronald Ray Guns."

He's been "outed" as a reactionary since 1969, and STILL the rePukes and Neocons buck for his canonization.

We need a PROJECTILE VOMIT smiley. The current one has no serious volume or velocity.
