Shades of O.J.'s low speed chase:
Listening to Air America and got Faux news on with the sound off.
15 minutes and counting of the hearse on the freeway. Going from the funeral home to the Reagan library.
Absolutely riveting.
:boring:

1. Oh wow.
Now they've actually panned in so close to the rear window that you can actually SEE the end of the flag draped coffin.
I'm taping all this so I see it again and again.

2. Reagan Grief, , WHAT Reagan Grief?!
Edited on Mon Jun-07-04 12:31 PM by K8-EEE
I haven't seen any, myself...Why? Because I'm not turning on the TV or the radio for a freaking WEEK! A plan I made way in advance, I always knew they would make the sickest spectacle out of his death but from what I'm reading here, the propaganda is freaking OFF THE CHARTS!

I certainly take no pleasure in Reagan's suffering or death, no more than anybody else's...but he was a horrible president, and not all there most of the time, all that shit about supporting Osama, Hussein and the Contras, his administration (really Bush's at the end) set us up for this lovely age of terrorism we live in now.

The dead body Elvis-type tour they got him on, holy smokes...I wonder if even he would approve of it??

7. My husband and I went out to dinner yesterday,
and I looked around the room. Wtf, nobody was crying! People were smiling and talking as if absolutely NOTHING had happened! Earth to rightwing pundit whores, America is NOT MOURNING, at least not visibly.

4. Whew. Finally there.
I just put this up for the cube rats because I knew they'd want to know about this momentous event.

5. I am so happy!!! It is going to drive the sheeple addicted to TV crazy!!!
They will end up hating Reagan. OJ was alive, and sheeple love crime thingies (especially if the criminal is a "celebrity" and black!)

6. And by the way, my son turned the TV on and I said, before reading
your post: Just like OJ's highway spectacle. Then I come here... and there you are with exactly the same opinion. I wonder how many repugs are thinking exactly the same thing. HE HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 10 years. How many Americans even know who he is? I am telling you, there are so many idiots who don't know who the present president is.

8. I saw they were giving him the "OJ" treatment
Next they ship the body of the puppet president to Washington for a final performance. I really feel sorry for his family, this has got to be too much.

9. I'm really hoping for a stationary camera on the closed casket
for the rest of the day on all the major networks and cable.
Hope I don't run out of tape.

10. had the same thought
came home from work early because I'm hurtin' bad today

took a pain pill around 11:30am and flipped the tv on while waiting for the meds to hit...

all news channels have the "reagan funeral car chase"

pain med kicked in and I fell asleep for about an hour, dogs had to go out--woke me up, news channels still had "reagan funeral car chase" on

fell back asleep -- just woke up -- "reagan funeral car chase" still going on

12. There is one REALLY good thing about this dog show.
All this fuss about Reagan has seriously detracted from King Shrub's appearances in Europe. Reagan has stole the thunder, Shrub's been sidelined. Ditto for the G8 Summit. All the headlines will be be about a dead president.

Just think how terrible it would have been if Reagan just after the G* Summit, Shrub would be in hog heaven. Media would have been at his beck and call in Europe and Georgia and then it would have been a straight week of Reagan.

Everyone should be on their knees that these three events coincided and so not forget in a fews weeks when the dust settles Fahrenheit 911 hits the silver screen.

14. Actually, I think they're relieved.
Who knows, maybe they asked Nancy to go ahead and puul the plug to take some of the heat off of him*.
