Randi is doing a
wonderful job with the Reagan thing. I'm already sick to death of hearing about it but man, she's doing a fine balancing act...

1. "He's a president, and we only have 43 of them."
Talk about damning with faint praise.

2. She is so full of shit
Reagan gave us:

1. Iran/Contra, should have been impeached for this one
2. S&L failure
3. Largest deficiet
4. Increased size of government to record levels
5. Responsible for getting 400 Marines killed in Lebanon
6. Ignored aids, and did everything to hinder progress
7. Ignored civil right, did not believe it existed
8. Appointed Scalia, Reinquist
9. Created osma bin laden through aid to the resistence against the Russian

What an idiot!
she even said she voted for him...

Time to listen to Ed Schultz

3. I voted for him too.

Like Randi, I was in the military at the time, and in the
military Republicans are the saviors. The brainwashing
is very real, which is why getting a balance for Limbaugh
on AFRTS is so important.

5. I am very emotional about this
I am from California, and experienced his crap first hand

It was not meant to offend anyone, but they are re-writing history...

Wonder how the air traffic controller feel about his death...

sorry, getting emotional again...

I remember him saying what a hero North was. North was a criminal who violated military law...

What is right is wrong!

7. I'm from California, too.
I was too young when Reagan was governor to know what
was going on, but my McGovern Democrat mother has told
me all about it.

You have every right to be emotional about this. I was
just saying that her voting for Reagan didn't mean all
that much.

8. Make that three!
Yes, I also <blush> voted for and loved ole' Ronnie's cash flow in the mid-eighties as the Unit's Plans/Training Officer in the Army.

Yep, lots of pork. Training simulators, high tech whatever you desire to list on the request. Heck, we even had "bio-feedback" monitors for troop counseling sessions. We were spoiled because many of my college buds in Phoenix, AZ had to struggle to get adequate employment. However, it's just as my dear ole' Dad (Ret. Corps of Engineers Major)used to tell me: "Every day in the Army is like Sunday on the farm." Anyone who was raised on a farm fully understands that adage. Serving in the AD military during the 80s IMHO was the high life. :-)

Being raised within a military family (traced back to the civil war) that's one hair to the left of John Birch, I had to get out into the real world before I could adequately judge my true political values. BTW reading quality newspapers helps! <g> I've voted mostly Democratic or Independent ever since 2000.

11. Pointing out the gravity
of a presidents death...how (in her opinion) touching Ronnie and Nancys relationship was and also pointing out his bad points...respectful of a death but not making the man into something he was not.

13. this is pretty masterful
on the part of Randi. Very good--not fawning--she is amazing, intelligent and aware.

I turned off Franken again after about fifteen minutes. I am beginning to like Hartman much better than Franken and his side kick, Katherine.

Midmorning here in Minneapolis. She is a aquired taste. I appreciate the way in which she keeps Franken from rambling and helps him to make a point...LOL

15. yes, she is mild though and has no voice of her own
and that is what probably keeps her on that job. I could not imagine a stronger woman being on that show with Franken--he would not be able to cope with it, imo. Franken must be the big cheese, it seems to me and that is based on how he continually sells himself on that show.

I keep trying to give that show some room, hoping day after day, it will get better. It is not getting better and is boring.
