25. I'm surprised and VERY disappointed that so many of the toon-writers....

...failed to understand WHO was REALLY responsible for the so-called "intell" about the Iraqi WMDs. For any of the toon-writers who may be lurking, here's a quick primer:

1. Tenet strongly advised Junior not to mention Iraqi WMDs in his State of the Union address;

2. Tenet strongly advised Powell not to mention Iraqi WMDs in his address to the UN;

3. Only Woodward stated in his book, based on information from one source, that Tenet argued that he had proof of the Iraqi WMDs and said that it was a "slam dunk";

4. Valerie Plame was exposed as a CIA operative along with her front company and her global network tracking materials that can be used for the manufacture of WMDs by individuals working out of the offices of the FratBoy Fuhrer and the VP;

5. The NeoCon, Pentagon-based OSP led the charge in using unreliable information on Iraqi WMDs from even more unreliable Iraqi sources.

I could go on because there is quite a bit more information than what I've listed above to allow someone, anyone, to come to the conclusion that Tenet is either the Fall Guy as everyone seems to want to believe, or that he has the old proverbial "something else up his sleeve".

How is it that Tenet gets nailed in the captive mainstream press and in the toons I've just seen? How is it that Junior and the rest of his merry band of NeoCons seemed greatly surprised when Tenet resigned? Is it possible that the NeoCons are even more concerned about what newly-private citizen Tenet may or may not say between now and the November Elections?

It aggravates me no end to continue to hear the lies repeated endlessly that the CIA intelligence failed about Iraq. All during the lead-up to the war, there were leaks about CIA not agreeing with what was said by the neocon's special intelligence group. But its the same ole thing-repeat the lie enough and people will believe it. I bet a poll would show people blame Tenet for faulty Iraqi intelligence....
