The break-up of the American Empire.

I hope that the break-up of the American Empire is quick and causes as little damage to the rest of the world as possible. I also hope that the break-up comes soon - the world may depend upon it. This nation has become too powerful and too ugly and deserves no extention of its present size and power. Lincoln couldn't have known it at the time, but he shold have let the South go. By now the "Confederacy would have broken-up into dozens of little third-world countries, not strong enough to do any harm, and probably too poor to feed themselves. The world would probably have been better off, in the long run. If the US had been smaller and more democratic, more European, maybe.
