Did Poppy Have A Stroke....Or Bells Palsy?

I saw George H.W. Bush yesterday on the news talking about Reagan and the whole right side of his face seems to be limp. The right side of his mouth seemed to droop and he had noticeable wrinkles and droops of skin just on the one side of his face. Also his right eye seemed to be squinting a lot.

I don't know if he had a stroke or something, but it definitely looks like the after effects of Bells Palsy - like half his face was slightly paralyzed.

Anyone know or heard of anything?

I remember at least GHW, if not Barbara, being diagnosed with it. Some thyroid disorders cause nerve and muscle weakness over the long term. I don't know if this has anything to do with what you're observing or not, but it does happen. I've often wondered if some of the observations about the Dim Son don't sound an awful lot like it, but I've never heard anything about whether he has it or not:

Some thyroid disorders tend to run in families, they run in mine -- that's why I've wondered if Dim Son might not have trouble with it, himself.
