One of the aspects that truly drives the Neocons and the right is a sense of vengence against the left. To this end they swoon whenever someone says something so out there that it drives the left insane.

Because the right does not hold itself to an objective standard to defend their positions they can attack the left at will. Spewing any nonsense that enters their mind they have no need to defend their position. The left meanwhile comes chasing after their drivle and tries to blast it to peaces. Its all sport to them. They love whipping the left into a frenzy.
