Did you know our tax dollars support Rush on Armed Services Radio??
This is incredulous.

Among the various media available to American troops in Iraq is American Forces Radio, created during World War II to improve troop morale. And among the various offerings on the station's programming lineup is the Rush Limbaugh show.

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Allison Barber tells On The Media that the station's choice to broadcast Rush has everything to do with ratings, and nothing to do with politics. But Salon.com senior writer Eric Boehlert isn't so sure. He tells why he sees a double standard being applied by the taxpayer-funded station.

1. This is what I have been talking about
If Kerry wins these kinds of special privileges for right wing media need to end. Either take him off the air or balance it with Air America Radio.

2. Tom Joyner is on, too...
at least he was when I was stationed in Germany in the late 1990's.

Joyner is no friend of the right.

3. tom joyner?

let's face it, tom joyner's morning show is wildly entertaining, even hilarious at times, but tavis smiley speaks for 8-10 mins, twice a week. that's not even remotely fair & balanced. i agree with the previous poster who suggests that if rush isn't pulled off the air, there should be a counterbalance such as AAR.

in case you haven't seen this petition, please take a look & pass it on, it's from media matters:

4. This is old news..
Media Matters has had a petition for the longest time to try and remove him. As a true liberal, I don't care if they play the Three Hour Hate Monger as long as there are alternatives...
