So I am sitting here watching Bowling For Columbine
And it was just mentioned that the Harris' diary had an entry where they were thinking about hijacking a plane and crashing it into New York..... And Condi wants us to believe no one even thought someone would do such a thing?

1. Yeah, I caught that too.
What's so laughable about this is, if Condi is telling the truth about nobody in the Bush Malversation having thought of the idea (okay, I know, Condi telling the truth is funny, but stop laughing and bear with me), then this basically means that nobody in the Malversation actually has the level of creative and critical thought of a disaffected teenager.

Come to think of it, that's rather believeable.

2. The pilot episode of "The Lone Gunmen"
involves a plot where a jet was hijacked via computer and was to be flown into WTC. This was aired 3/4/01.

4. Cripes
Conservatives buy up Tom Clancy's every scribble the way geeks devour Neal Stephenson. He put Jack Ryan into the White House by ramming a jetliner into the Capitol Building -- 8 years ago. It may have been fiction, but Clancy's famous for vetting his ideas with his network of defense insiders. Republicans love him because his scenarios are credible and grounded in real US strategic considerations, not wooly fantasies.

Debt of Honor popped into my mind within minutes of hearing of the 911 attacks.

3. They can be excused for not watching Micheal Moore

but then, one of their favorite freeper authors, Tom Clancy, outlined
the whole hijack and crash airliner into the capital many years ago.
Hard to ignore that one. And I'm sure that Cheney and Rummy read it.
