Inpeachment/Resiginations.... what does that do to the elections???
Let's work under this premise...

Shrubya, Dickie Bird, Runsfart, ASScroft all go down, one way or another.

the question is WHEN and WHAT HAPPENS -

If they take them down BEFORE (or the process is still going on during) the 'pug convention, WHO would they nominate to run on '04?

If they take them AFTER the convention... what then? Would the legally be able to have 'replacement candidates'???

What would be the best ticket for the 'pugs? McCain/??? or would it not matter WHO they ran, would any 'pugs even show up to vote? or could it actually flush MORE of the out of the woodworks to vote?

Would it mean the (effective) end of the Republican party and (one or more) new party(parties) arise from the ashes???

4. Dennis Hassert would be the pres
since he's the speaker of the house and third in succession. He's a real asshole.

6. Yes, I believe hastert would have to be the
replacement by default.

The person using the O board--------be careful with that crap! I'll bet you came up with Bill Frist--the walking dead man, the anorexia man.. Ewwwww..

If they had to go with a new Republican, I think I could stomach McCain.

Beyond that, all these new rethugs are insane...I'm serious. They've gone over the edge into some dark abyss. Look into some of their eyes; it's scary. It's like some aliens have taken over thier souls. All of them have empty dark eyes and are easily angered. I watched AssCroft on C-span today. At the end, while he was being lectured to by Senator Leahy, John's face contorted, his eyes got dark, and he looked like he would like to kill. It was eerie. :scared:

3. I hope it means...
...the return of the GOP to moderates and the thorough ass-kicking of the neo-cons and the VRWC and the Federalists and hatemongers.

Eisenhower Republicans are tolerable. Let's hope for cool minds to restore order. Otherwise, if the party is destroyed, something worse could evolve.

Bush gets to keep the unspent campaign funds. (No small fortune!)
The f*cker won't feel any compunction to donate it to the replacement candidate.

I think we would see Giuliani and perhaps John McCain vying for the nomination. Perhaps Chuck Hagel too.

It would be an exciting time for politics junkies!

5. About a year ago, I was playing with a Ouija board
with a friend with very little interest and even less knowledge of politics. I asked it who the next president would be. It told me a name that never would have occurred to me (a Republican) and that there was no possible way for my friend to have come up with (based on his ignorance on the topic). I'm not going to say who because I believe that some of the power of that sort of thing comes from us believing it and then making it happen but I will say that if things continue to go the way they are that the scenario by which the prediction could become true is much more plausible than when I was thinking about it at the time. If Bushco goes down and the name I was told starts to surface, I'm going to go stark raving mad.

9. beware the telegenic dark horse candidate too close to the election to
be effectively dealt with. Another pretty puppet for the neocons to dance for the voters in case the bush*/Cheney boys get indicted.

10. I really don't think that
anything will happen before the election. I mean, I am sure that *if* charges or accusations are laid at BushCo's feet that they will stall the hell out of them and cover them up. Kinda like they are doing with the whole CIA leak thing, torture thing, War Funding, energy committee, and the rest of their actions over the past 3 years. Would anyone even know if bush was charged? Would they let that out? Wouldn't they just hide it the same way they hid all the other stuff by clamming that it is a national security issue at a time of war and classify the paperwork? I know, it sounds really far fetched but the past few days have proven that they are willing to hide the papers by any means possible. Even if they have to fake executive privilege to do it (Ashcroft).
