Picked HW instead of W. The current occupant of my White House is the emptiest suit we've ever had as president. Makes Harding look like a genius and Coolidge look like he was actually paying attention.

3. Bush Jr. and Reagan had the same puppeteers, so it's hard to

decide which one moved better. They're almost identical.

I don't get why Bush Sr. is ahead in the votes, though. :/

Alzheimer's, so he was handicapped and easily puppetized but Bush has replaced it with arrogance which makes him VERY DANGEROUS right now. He has taken the Reagan "legacy" and extended it with the help from the same antique puppeteers.

Reagan had his mental faculties for at least the first couple of years in office.

My single biggest worry about Dubya back in 2000 was that he was an empty vessel into which his closest advisors could pour just about any philosophy, any ideology, no matter how illogical or destructive. The man had no strongly-held values or beliefs, other than the holy dominion of God over all the Earth.

In the wake of 9/11, the neocons exploited this simpleton's religiosity, and it was pretty easy to make him believe that he was chosen to lead at this critical moment by a higher power. His Manichean approach to life provided his advisors the perfect conduit to rationalize any atrocity in the name of "protecting freedom."

Torture? No problem. Pre-emptive invasion of Iraq on sketchy WMD evidence? Jesus would have done it, too.

My worst fears in 2000 have come true. A complete idiot is in the Oval Office, cynically being manipulated by forces that he can't even perceive.

And half of this country is being manipulated right along with him.

here's my take:

raygun, a professional actor, was hired to play the part of the president of the us. Yes, I know he did the california gov. thing. That was the dress rehearsal.

Once he WAS ELECTED, raygun settled into mostly a ceremonial, "fronting" role for the right-wing conspiracy (yes, hilary, there really is a vast right-wing conspiracy). He was professionally managed by his handlers and knew it. It was a symbiotic relationship made in hell. the BFEE was brought in to actually run the place.

gee-dubya, on the other hand, really thinks he is somewhat in charge, really thinks that he is part of the supreme battle of good vs. evil, and that he has been selected by the almighty to carry the ball for the goodguys. No more being a cheerleader for him. This time, he's the quarterback!

Anyone with both oars in the water knows that there are more hands up the back of gee-dubya, than up kermit the frog.

Raygun was Puppet Augustus, standing in front of the True Emperor of Amerika, Poppy Bush.

When Poppy tried to have Raygun whacked in '81, think about it, it would have opened the door to 11.5 years of a direct reign by the Imperial Family.

And how enslaved and fucked would we be now if Raygun had gotten killed?

THANK GOD the Bush Assassin failed in 1981. We might hate Raygun, but without him in there forcing the Busheviks to be circumspect, there is no telling what worse they might have done to us.
