A Government Crackdown on Britney Spears!
http://coxnews.com/cox/news/Tom_Teepen/story/6578

Not surprisingly, the "crackdown" is part of a policy of China to reduce western cultural influences on China's culture. But say...don't all of these "pro-family" organisations (along with a majority of republicans) want to take similar actions?: cultural censorships amoung other things. And to think...all these years it was the liberals and democracts being called communists.

Irony is truly one of the funniest things ever

1. And in freeperville they are quite distressed over the
exodus of Christians from Iraq (the new constitution names Islam as the official religion).

The freepers wail: "Don't they understand the separation of church and state?!"

No, they never see the irony.

2. During the Ten Commandments monument brouhaha,
when people said the Ten Commandments belonged there, I would say, "What if a Jewish judge wanted to put up a Star of David or a monument to the Torah in the courthouse? Or an Arab judge wanted to put up a monument to the Qu'ran? Would you feel the same way about that?" The reactions were always ones of, "That's just inappropriate," or "Well, I wouldn't visit that courthouse!"

You're absolutely right. They don't get it. And they are entirely lacking in the ability to empathize with anyone else's point of view.

Open eyes, put on blinders.

3. The line I always heard regarding the ten commandements statue
was, "but our country was founded on Christian values". Uh, O.K. so we all have to stick with that religion. Basically, you're screwed unless you're a Christian. I don't think many in Alabama would even consider that there are Americans who are not Christian.

4. Maybe suggesting a call prayer to Allah 5 times a day
on load speakers throughout a city could be made next time someone suggests religion belongs in a state function.

5. Oh. Hell. No.
The freepers wail: "Don't they understand the separation of church and state?!"

That's funny!
