How much money was spent (wasted) at the G-8 summit?

These summits are a waste of money. A bunch of wealthy nations get together, talk about how to keep the rest of the world subserviant (the so called third world), and spend millions of dollars discussing these things.

BTW, why is Russia even a part of the G-8 still? They aren't nearly as powerful as they once were...their economy isn't all that impressive compared to some others in East Asia.
