Judy Woodruff lying again today, call CNN and complain #404 827 0234
Yesterday, Reagan was the most popular out going president (although Clinton was 2% more popular), today Alesander Hamilton was a republican.

Hamilton died in 1804 and Licoln was the first republican president, do the math.

So since she just appologized for lying about Reagan's popualrity, I figure more emails and phone calls are in order.

Enjoy.

origins and spent his life ingratiating himself upon New York bankers and doing everything he could to make them wealthier.

However, I doubt that's the point Woodruf was trying to make.

9. Too true.
But don't forget, the Republican owed their success to the fact that they embraced the railroad industry almost as much to the fact that they were anti-slavery.

But it the RRs were a new, competitive industry which intended to spread wealth broadly even while it was making some people extremely wealthy.

Reminds me of how the Democrats embraced the oil industry when the Republicans tried to protect their favorite business interests from having to compete with new capital in the early 20th C. But when the oil industry became the hegemony, they abandoned the Democrats. And then when high tech was getting the cold shoulder from the Republicans, the Democrats rode them to economic dominance. But now that they got there, they're embracing republicans who will protect their hegemony.

Gosh, I hope there's an upcoming economic powerhouse the Democrats can embrace so that they can get some money to compete against Republicans.

8. Here's my Email.
On Cinco de Mayo, Judy Woodruff announced, incorrectly, that it was "Mexican Independence Day." The actual date of Mexican Independence Day is September 16. Cinco de Mayo celebrates a Mexican victory over the soldiers of Napoleon III. Then, yesterday, she claimed, incorrectly, that Ronald Reagan was the most popular outgoing president. Bill Clinton, surprisingly, was 2% more popular than Reagan upon leaving the Oval Office. Today, Judy claimed, incorrectly, that Alexander Hamilton was a Republican. Given that Hamilton died in 1806, he must have, in the years before his death, constructed a time machine, travelled to the GOP's founding in 1854, registered as a Republican, and then returned to his own time, ensuring that he would die as a member of the Republican Party.

"Judy Woodruff's Inside Politics" would be great if Judy either started to learn history or was fired from the show for utter incompetence.

10. today's mail
Woodruff Revised History Again

After correcting her partisan lie about Reagan's popularity, Ms. Woodruff wading into political fiction again by suggesting that Alexander Hamilton was a REPUBLICAN.... before the party existed!

Send Judy on a LONG working vacation... she really needs to have a passing grasp of American history if she's going to be making comments about it.
