"Replace Statue of Liberty with a statue of Reagan"
I have heard everything now. Some are touting a plan to ship Liberty back to France since they sisn't support the war and replace it with a same-sized statue of Reagan since he singlehandedly defeated communism. Stop this madness!

2. Somewhere in Yahoo message world
Not an organized effort but more evidence of this over-worship frenzy.

9. I heard that suggestion at work today as well
I think that someone on wacko-radio is advocating this. Two of my "wing-nuttier" colleagues were discussing the pros and cons. Basically they agreed that they like the "tradition" of the current statue but decided that DC *needs* a big "Reagan Monument"

Stunned, I was simply stunned.
