I wish it was more a celebration of his life. 93 years old is not sad.
He and only three other presidents have reached the age of ninety. John Adams, Herbert Hoover, and Gerald Ford who is ninety. Let's party!

1. I thought about that last night.
And I don't mean to imply that having Alzheimer's wasn't horrible for him, but they say he's had it for 10 years, which would have made him 83 when he was diagnosed--that's still a pretty lengthy life.

But, because he's an ex-president, I think probably the details are arranged by the state rather than the family.
