LA TIMES Poll: Voters Shift In Favor Of Kerry. 7 Point Lead.
http://www.latimes.com

Widespread unease over the country's direction and doubts about President Bush's policies on Iraq and the economy helped propel Sen. John F. Kerry to a solid lead among voters nationwide..."

2 way race:
Kerry 51%
Shrub 44%

With Ralph the Wrecker added:
Kerry: 48%
Shrub 42%
Lyin' Ralph 4%

The bad news. According to the LA Times Poll Shrub is leading in the Electoral College. While there are many races that have become unnecessarily close, here are 3 rather nasty examples of how Ralph Nader is truly becoming the last best hope of the neo-conservatives:
Florida: Bush 47% Kerry 46% Nader 3%
Wisconsin: Bush 44% Kerry 42% Nader 4%
New Mexico: Bush 46% Kerry 45% Nader 3%

Interesting:
While nearly half said Kerry is more likely to "flip-flop" on issues, by a margin of 58% to 16% those polled thought Bush was "too ideological and stubborn."

Lots of info in this one. Go check it out, mang.

2. How can they know he's leading in the electoral college?
They didn't poll every state. This site has the most up-to-date polls:

and Kerry's doing fine in the electoral college. BTW, it often takes time for national trends to show up in state polls.
