16. There are a whole series of Fletch books
very witty mysteries. Greg McDonald, I think, is the author.

6. it impacted me enough to name my goldfish Austin Milbarge
kind of an uneven movie in retrospect... but I liked it when they pretended to be aliens to spook the Russian mobile launcher crew.

14. It taught me that Bob Hope was the master of the pointless cameo
I loved that movie even though it sucked. I was 14 at the time. The test cheating scene was really funny.

15. Seeing that there was a character named "Austin" in the film
made me happy. And the "dickfer" joke still makes me laugh. But the theme song bleeewww, and the movie itself was third-rate post-SNL typicomedy. "Three Amigos" was much better.
