I just told the DNC...
...that since Kerry is not the absolutely ideal candidate, causing me very mild disappointment, that I'll be voting for Bush and Cheney -- TWICE if possible!

10. Relax, DU. It's sarcasm.
Sorry for the sarcasm, bahrbearian; but if you really can't abide the candidate who's running, you have one of two choices.

1. Turn off of politics and drop out of the civic discourse which is necessary to democracy itself, just as the cynical Republicans hope you will do; or

2. Infiltrate the Democratic Party which has left you so cold up to now, just as Thom Hartmann advocates. Quit yer bellyachin' and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. If you just wait in the wings hoping that corporate influence will spontaneously begin to wane, you'll be waiting a long time. Do as Pat Robertson did on the other side and subvert the status quo.

8. So since Kerry is not ideal
you're voting twice for a ticket that is a proven ideal sick joke. I'm real sorry, but I think I'm missing something here. Like logic maybe, I don't know.

16. See? That's the way it's done.
If more individuals supported political candidates, as Dean had originally hoped would happen, then those candidates would not be so beholden to the corporations who end up funding their campaigns with an eye toward their own rewards. Whereas now, politicians are (evidently) accountable to their corporate contributors who can afford large monetary donations, greater individual involvement and numerous small-scale contributions by citizens would make them more accountable to those to whom they are intended to be accountable: the citizenry. Two words. Grassroots revolution.

Sorry to make fun of bahrbearian from the other thread, but anyone who votes for third party candidates until the pipe-dream finally comes true is simply part of the problem, at least until proportional representation is amended into the Constitution (another pipe-dream). And more specifically, anyone in a swing state who votes third party and undermines the effort to unseat Bush is responsible for the consequences of events in the upcoming four years when Bush finally completes his consolidation of power, God help us.

14. I am so disappointed in Kerry..that I'm changing my name back
to my original one (that cost more than I thought it would) and whitewashing the mural of him I painted on the side of my house. I am returning the John Kerry inflatable doll that I used to sit and have conversations with.

Why? Because he looks like an old withered oak tree. and a little French. It hadn't really dawned on me until I finally tuned in to Rush/Hannity/O'Reilly.

I thought they're the only ones that get to vote more than once. But maybe that's only if they happen to be dead, too.
