Pity Afghanistan, Pity America - Reagan's support for Islamic Fanaticism

Democracy Now! has been running a series of reports ("Remembering the Dead") on the bloody hand of Reagan around the planet. There are two things to remember. One is that Reagan's most lasting legacy has been the CIA's fostering of the fundie death cult that created the groundwork for PNAC's "Pearl Harbor opportunity" and the fascist war on Terra. The other is that Afghanistan itself was plunged into a hell than no people ever deserves. Having spent some time in Afghanistan when it was still living its own very isolated life, I learned a lot, and every time I see some video I remember the people and culture and the land, and I see more innocent victims.
