You'd think he was assassinated the way they're playing up this ridiculousness.

Does anyone remember his anti-labor firing of the Air Traffic Controllers?

Does anyone remember the name Eugene Hosenfus? (sic)

Does anyone remember how his administration subverted the Constitution in funding an illegal war in Central America that killed innocent poor people trying to improve their lot in life?

Does anyone realize how delusional these people are to believe their own propaganda? - That he "won" the Cold War -

Does anyone realize that the many of the same bad actors that operated under Raygun are now running the show under Bush the lesser?

1. I had been hiding all the DU posts on Reagasm. It was overwhelming.
Then the feature became unavailable. Then available. THEN I JOINED THE THREADS... If you cannot defeat them, at least yell against it!

2. we spent the Raygun years really struggling-things improved for us under
Clinton, but now under *, we are having problems again.
I have been boycotting the news-am listening to AA or local college independent station only!

4. I'm tired of it
I wish I had a hiding tool for my radio so that each time Raygun comes on it will automatically scan to the next channel.

5. Such gigantic funerals have always been for SITTING Presidents
The only ones I've ever heard of which were this LARGE were Kennedy and Lincoln who were, as you mentioned, ASSASSINATED.

The country would need something huge at times like that to serve as an important marker to help people confront their shock and grief that their beloved leaders were gone in an unnatural way.

During Kennedy's funeral, the RIDERLESS HORSE was explained as a symbol of a nation without it's leader. Well, we do have that situation going on now, but it has nothing to do with Reagan's "sudden" death.

The excesses of these greedy, stupid people have made fools of them, and they are too damned stupid to understand it.

7. They are burying him
today. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. There is no hiding from the frenzy. I'm just trying to ride the storm out. I hope congress doesn't decide to do something stupid like put his face on my money.

For crying out loud, they closed the post office today! I do not think they should close the post office on such short notice for anyone...people have bills to pay and stuff, and when they sent their payments they may not have been counting on the delay, but credit card companies and the like won't care. So I don't think they should suddenly close the post office period, and certainly not for a man whose negative effects on the country we are still feeling.
