I admit I didn't see the beginning. Danforth's speech was depressing. The music was depressing. Where was the inspiration to have joy in our hearts? Where was the uplifting music.

Is it just me?

2. So much for a "celebration of life...." which as an Irish man, should have
been a bit more appropriate for Reagan, I would think... BUT, (and here's the big BUT), that would not have served Rove and the RW's political purposes.

4. nah ...
this was a typical old-man's WASP funeral. Very typical. Except for all the liars at the podium.

10. I think you hit the nail on the head
For example, the Irish tenor who sang Amazing Grace did an excellent job, but he did not have any soul.

If this had been Clinton's funeral, somebody like Aretha Franklin would have shown the Irish tenor how Amazing Grace should be sung.

And the streets would have been lined with all of the minorities who live in the DC area.

And the people who spoke would have been cool.

5. I enjoyed the bit about R.R. feeding the squirrels and putting up the
"Beware of dog" sign when he left office to warn them about the oncoming "Millie" Bush.

11. and
every thing was said so slow with too many breaks between each word.

You could play it on fast forward and it would seem like normal speed.
