When do Republican Congressman distance themselves from Bush????
If the child abuse photos come out. At what point will the Republican congressman start distancing themselves from Bush? Or are they inextricably linked to one another (besides a few independent minds like McCain and Santorum).

Is it already too late?

My guess is the he had a memory-crossover and had meant Jeffords (or Chafee or Snowe).

On edit: WHAT child abuse pictures?

7. Seymour Hersh "You haven't begun to see evil...
He said, "You haven't begun to see evil..." then trailed off. He said, "horrible things done to children of women prisoners, as the cameras run." He looked frightened.

This is from Brad De Longs Web-log. DeLong attended a speech by Hersh: "Seymour Hersh spoke... at the University of Chicago.... I took some scattered notes. The remaks will be disjoined--as will be the notes--but chilling. He asserted several things that he says he didn't have nailed down enough to write, but that he was confident of....

...If what it reports is true, then once again it looks like the Bush administration is worse than I had imagined--even though I thought I had taken account of the fact that the Bush administration is always worse than one imagines. Either Seymour Hersh is insane, or we have an administration that needs to be removed from office not later than the close of business today. The scariest part: " said he had seen all the Abu Ghraib pictures. He said, 'You haven't begun to see evil...' then trailed off. He said, 'horrible things done to children of women prisoners, as the cameras run.' He looked frightened.

To read entire story plus stuff about Reagan and Afganistan unravelling go to DeLong's Site and scroll down to "Torture and Rumors of Torture"

6. I think some of them have already begun the process
Bush makes a lot of fundraiser appearances on his own behalf, and some on behalf of other Republicans, but I suspect there are a lot of Republicans running for office who would just as soon keep Bush far away from their districts.
