For folks not familiar with David Eddings' Belgariad/Malloreon books: Taur Urgas was the evil King of Cthol Murgos and was crazier than a shithouse rat. His son Urgit, who was actually a decent guy, despised him and after Taur Urgas was killed in battle, Urgit took his corpse someplace in the middle of nowhere so the evil priests couldn't find him to try and bring him back. Then he slit his throat and buried him face down in an unmarked ditch, just to make sure he was dead.
