Any guess on who leaked this memo?

It is a huge irony that while Asscrack was refusing to allow a Conressional Commitee to view this doucument, even in a private session, it appeared on the Net, in full.

What is needed now is a document that shows that the Pres. approved of Torture. Without such, he will escape from accountabilty.

There is now a document that points to Rumsfailed approving of certain interogation methods. The Pres. has said that Rumsfeld is an excellent Sec. of Defense, thereby approving of these interogation methods, unless the Pres. was totally unaware of the actions of Rumsfailed. In that case the Pres. is in derelection of his job but no real legal liability.

Looks like every paragraph is unclassified (U) so it doesn't really make sense that it is classied at all unless to COVER ONE'S ASS.

If it's to cover your ass at a later date, which circumstances would have you bringing out said memo?

Durbin asked Asscroft to site what he was using and Ashcroft couldn't.
The AG doesn't have a leg to stand on.

13. This is a DoD memo, NOT DoJ

The memo (or memos) in question in the Judiciary Committee Hearing was from the Department of Justice. I think it's very, very likely that the TO document linked in this thread is NOT the one Auschwitzkroft was refusing to release.
