Nancy Reagan looks PAST done with all this
Every TV camera picking up her every nuance. After the hell she has gone through losing her husband to Alzheimer's, after his death, after the Christian right mounting yet another offensive on stem cell research, after pleading that RR currency talk stop for now, she looks truly done. I feel so bad for her.

7. I surprised they planned the funeral this way. Any good actor
knows you want to leave the stage with the audience begging for more.

Oh. Wait a minute ... of course. Whatever was I thinking?

What a perfectly fitting end for The Gipper!

3. Agreed
It's been a tough time for her. I know people will be quick to say, "What about all the people who suffered...", etc. At some point in our lives we have got to get over our animosity towards other people. It's a major reason why their is so much turmoil in the world -- because some people just can't let it go ie Serbians-Croats, Palestinians-Israelis, Christians-Muslims (Sudan, etc), et al) At some point you have to move on and get over it.
It's been a hard time for Mrs. Reagan and I do wish her well.

8. Really... This has been a marathon... Surely they could have cut back
on some of it! Maybe we should only have observant Jewish or Muslim Presidents (have to be put underground within 24 hours of death).....!

6. ..I don't have a problem with Nancy, it's the rethugs milking it for their
own political advantage.

10. She planned it, all right
with the same image-makers who worked to craft Ronnie's image in the White House. Every shot, every camera angle, every gesture was orchestrated. However, I have to wonder whether she had second thoughts after experiencing the toll it was taking on her and her kids. Seven days of public grief and pageantry has worn them all down. I'll bet that when Ford of Carter dies, the funerals will be brief.
