In this election year, the need for prayer is as great as ever. The Presidential Prayer Team will launch its unique initiative, Pray the VoteTM, on June 21, 2004. The goal of Pray the Vote is simply to stimulate prayer for the fall elections. Believing that when Americans pray we open a door for God to work in our nation, The Presidential Prayer Team is encouraging people to get involved in a variety of ways that include:

Prayer Parties—invite your friends and neighbors to pray

Pray for newly appointed Iraqi interim President Ghazi Ajil al-Yawer as he works toward the political, social, and economic rebirth of Iraq as well as developing relationships with key world leaders, working to bring reform in Iraq and throughout the Middle East. Continue to pray for the successful transition of power to the Iraqi interim government as transfer date of June 30 approaches.



Pray for the President as he welcomes Afghan President Hamid Karzai to the White House on June 15. The two leaders will discuss the war against terror, and the upcoming Afghan elections as well as the effort to spur economic growth in Afghanistan.
