I want to hear Republican leaders stand up and apologize...
It is they that have divided this nation. It is they that have shut down the Fairness Doctrine. It is they that have taken over the airwaves and spewed their hate and filth for 15 years and more. It is they that have launched investigations for sex or whatever they could find, for political gain. Now they are starting to feel a litle heat from the opposition. And they want "bi-partisanship". When they stand up and admit they were wrong, I will be willing to work with them. But I will not hold my breath.

2. I think they *will* get some bi-partisanship this Fall

Yup, enough real conservatives are seeing how the Republican Party has deserted their goals and been taken over by the extremist fringe that they will vote for Kerry.

3. stand up and apologize
not to forget that the democrats had all this power and we simply gave it away as if it did not matter---the democratic party cannot remain a viable party as republican lite---we must go home to our roots or forever be the left wing of the bird of prey---WE MUST AGAIN BECOME THE PARTY OF THE PEOPLE

4. And to show that they are the party of the people, they must do...
something for the people - like a national healthcare system. Otherwise, it is all hot air.

6. and
WORKFARE NOT WELFARE--to each and every able bodied man/woman who are able, let them earn their keep by doing something for the betterment of society--plant a tree, build a bridge, run daycare, clean the sides of the road---then have them come back and with dignity pick up a pay check---put the "P" back into the word pride

9. it's a winning issue imo - but, will it conflict with their stock holdings
and campaign contributions ... herein lies a paradox of the political times ... how much progress and reform can America make with the corporate parasites feeding on our system, our lives and the politicians?

a national health care system with no corporate involvement --- simplified, hassle and stress-free and privacy guaranteed ... would resonate well with a fed-up populace ...

can they, will they legislate a system without saying: but, how does this affect General Electric or MetLife? what reforms can be made when a certain Senator's Frist family is in the HMO corporate business and won't recuse himself from the effort ... how many of the Hill is controlled by the corporate health care industry who, similarly, won't recuse themselves?

we don't need The Heritage Foundation and similar conservative tentacles drafting the blueprints for Congress to rubber stamp

5. They're too blind.
They flow like a flock of sheep. Never ending and unwavering. They are broken in mind and spirit. They exist only to serve as a reminder of what a poisoned mind can be like. I'd pity them if they were not out to destroy America and everything else around them.

7. I couldn't agree more....
... there is nothing worse than playing with a cheater, that "just wants to play fair" once they are losing.

No, the time for playing fair has long passed. The mess this administration has made falls on the shoulders of ONE PARTY, who holds the executive branch and both houses of congress (and has designs on the judiciary also).

They created the problems and there is no "bipartisan" solution, we were not heeded at all as we warned them this would happen.

FUCK bipartisanship until the DeLays, the Frists, the Bush*s, and the entire useless neocon back-cabinet are gone or hamstrung.

8. But repukes aren't the party of "personal responsibility".
Well, at least we know those pukes don't really mean it.

10. I want them to keep believing their folly right up until they die
Their house of cards seems to be crumbling these days, and their inability to admit mistakes could ultimately lead to their undoing.
