Does a "Peace President" have special *emergency* powers too?
I'm intrigued by the claim that Bush* is going to become something called a "Peace President" rather than his invented category "War President"
Lincoln, FDR and the rest who served in wartime didn't seem to need special extra-Constitutional powers yet the Emperor Bush* not only needs them (he claims) but insists they exist in some penumbra of the title of "Commander in Chief."

Well, if he is not going to invent a new category of Presidential being (Peace President) for anything beyond labeling himself for the suburban white vote and probably as a bid for the Nobel Peace Prize, what special powers do you suppose he'll give himself this time. After all, giving up that "war president" status means giving up all those imaginary powers he's been claiming.

1. This is the second time I have seen the "peace pResident" notion
floated. Is this true? Is it from an article? This isn't going to play very well if they keep insisting we are going to have another terror attack this summer. He can't make up his mind can he? War is peace?

This is just another fine example of the short sightedness of this corrupt administration.

2. Talk about Flip-Flopping, geez
He knows he's in trouble. He's been reading the polls. He is following the polls. He's a poll watcher. He's a Flip-Flopping, Poll Watching, bag of hot air, about to be deflated gas-bag who wouldn't be worth thinking about if it wasn't for the fact he has his itchy finger on the red button.

Peace prezident, my ass. More like PIECE prezident: as in blow the world to pieces.

3. This is all so Orwellian

Peace to Bush means war.

"Clear skies" means more pollution.

"Healthy forests" means clear cutting.

This is a real quote from Bush:

"When we're talking about war, we're really talking about peace."

4. Jeez - you are so right!
Double-speak on the rampage!

"Winning the Peace" means bombing their brains out, right?

5. I think * would like the power of invisibility...
Be able to duck out of boring meetings, hang out in the women's shower room, hide from Unca Dick.... that'd be cool...
