1. I nearly could have been a Reagan Youth

but I paid too much attention in school and learned something.

By then, it was too late. I had knowledge, and would actually look things up instead of blindly accepting things as fact.

Really, somebody wondered how I was so good at "current events jeopardy". I read the newspaper. Didn't even need to read the full story, just skimmed through the paper. Seems the instructor did the same.
