7. So you saw it too?
Wow....

Juan shows occasional moments of clarity, but today...wow.

Something has happened to Juan...and whatever it was has pushed him to the Left. He wasn't taking ANY bullshit today NOT AT ALL. You could tell he was angry and it was burning hot.

9. As I have said, Juan has always been conflicted, at least professionally.
He is starting to see the light. Will he be enlightened enough to get his ass up out of there, so he can do some REAL reporting for a change?

19. Background on Juan Williams:
Edited on Sun Jun-13-04 10:46 AM by playahata1
As the child of Panamanian immigrants, Williams was raised to believe that everything about the United States is good and right -- while overlooking (or at least being ignorant of) the United States' ugly history in Panama and the rest of Central America. He has carried this conflict into his professional life; that is why he has often taken the conservative side of the issues. Writer and cultural commentator Jill Nelson, who worked with Williams on The Washington Post in the 1980s, paints a rather unflattering picture of Williams and his conservative side in her memoir, Volunteer Slavery -- a must-read. In fact, she once called Williams an "uncle neo-con son of a bitch" to his face.

However, when it comes to his knowledge of and experience in African American culture and history, Williams has for the most part come correct, as in his authorship of the companion volume to the PBS series Eyes on the Prize. Furthermore, he has a sister who is a liberal commentator and activist.

Surprisingly, Juan Williams would have none of it.

Quite an earful!

24. Will This be repeated?
Was it Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace?

Sounds like it is worth trying to catch.

BTW, Juan Williams has really gone for the jugular with Britt Hume a coupole of times. I saw them a couple of weeks ago, and it was far more than stage arguing. They looked and sounded like they wanted to take it outside in the alley.

Juan's an odd duck. I think he's got principles, but sold them out and has a hard time dealing with it.

27. I thought he blew it
he was making a very good point, I forget what it was, but then he let Kristol trick him into arguing that Reagan would have voted for Kerry, which is ridiculous and it is not anywhere near what Williams had been saying in the first place.
