NASCAR racing, yeah, that's just where I need to see my tax dollars going :eyes:

4. I've deep linked those pics right from goarmy.com
I was flicking through the channels and I saw a black and gold car smoking and when they zoomed in I started wondering why people like you and I were subsidizing this garbage.

6. The Army doesn't have just one budget
There's a construction budget, a training budget, a budget for individual soldier equipment, one for moving soldiers from post to post on permanent change of station moves...and one for recruiting, which is where the NASCAR money, the drag racing money and the cash for the Golden Knights parachute team comes from.

Among others--there are budgets I can't think of.

I am far less offended by Joe Nemechek's car than I am by the commanders who will go all the way to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California for a month just to make sure his brigade knows how to pack for an extended deployment. Uhh...couldn't they have done the same thing out in the training area at home station?

7. Yep, and their radio and TV advertising

Wonder what PR/Ad Agency they have on retainer? Meanwhile our soldiers in Iraq lack body armor, many are going without decent food, and their families back here are barely scraping by - many on food stamps! Definitely time for more letters and phone calls to Congress. Think they know my voice at my Congressman's office (not that I ever voted for him, but I'm stuck with him all the same).

Adding this link on edit - you can write your Congressman here:
