1. In the eyes of the law, marriage is a contract

period. It is a relationship involving property, inheritance, power of attorney, etc.

And just like any other legal contract, it DOES involve (and in fact DEFINES) responsibilities.

Would you deny homosexuals the right to incorporate? To form limited partnerships?

(I'm not going to touch Rush's three divorces, I will not attempt to make the point that serial marriage-divorce devalues marriage.)
