Michael Moore bashing and theaters harassment.
I found that awful site:

http://www.moveamericaforward.org/NewsMax/

And later learned that:

"Yesterday morning, a DNS check proved that the website organizing harassment of theaters showing "Fahrenheit 9/11" was being run by a political public relations group with strong GOP ties. Yesterday afternoon, the DNS record was changed to remove all references to the PR company. More details on the men behind the scam have been added to this article."

What a bunch of creeps!!!:grr:

3. These people really do not care for freedom.
This just proves it even more. What are they afraid of? The truth?

If they try to stop showing it in the theaters here (Though I highly doubt it because I am in Seattle!), then I will go to Vancouver and watch it.

Right-wing morons act more like Nazi Stormtroopers every damned day!

15. How can a film "bring down America"?
Edited on Mon Jun-14-04 12:11 AM by Zinfandel
If there's truth in it!

Your worried about BushCo.

Isn't this suppose to be the land of freedom of speech, religion and thought?

How come only your views are the only correct and patriotic ones?

The Iraq war was based on lies about Iraq's WMD being an "imminent" danger to America...and we find out there were no WMD, however, it's using our tax dollars to fund billions to Cheney's Halliburton, to control Iraqi oil for US oil companies, to build US bases in Iraq, to torture human beings (even if you do hate the color of their skin).

You have no problem slandering our ex "Commander-in Chief" Bill Clinton, simply because You didn't like his policies...after all President Clinton was elected legally, twice and didn't run to the Federal government (US Supreme Court) to have voting stop in a State (Florida).

We are suppose to have only and share your point of view?

Liberals fought and are fighting in every war this country has ever had...Yet you want to tell us who is patriotic and who's not?

Our constitution encourages dissent. There's only a one party system in power in this country, Republicans, (President, Senate, Congress, Supreme Court) which are the huge corporations, designed to control us, what kind of government would you call this?

We are guaranteed the right to dissent and take up arms if necessary...Just ask your NRA about our right to bear arms.

The lying fear tactic BushCo is using...terrorism, has everything to do with "Fahrenheit 9/11" and exposing the lies.

What are you so afraid of?

Freedom of speech?

They are afraid, you're right.

And they should be afraid.

These Bush criminals and their enablers and supporters have enormous amounts of blood on their hands.

4. What is everyone so upset about we should be rejoicing over this

Guys and Gals, check it out, they're so afraid of what this movie might do to sway support of Bush that they're resorting to scumbag tactics. When people resort to such measures they know they are losing and desperate to claim some kind of small victory which will never happen.

Plus this is free publicity and peaks interest of thoughtful fence sitters who may be wondering what the big deal is all about only to go find out for themselves.

Expect the rightwing "mighty Wurlitzer" to crank up, playing an anti-Mike Moore tune.

Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, the whole crowd will probably be "on the case" when this movie opens. Its going to be a regular rightwing shitstorm...

9. WTF?
"Moore has already defamed the passengers who were on board the airplanes hijacked on September 11th:

“The kind of people who fly in airplanes want someone else to clean up their mess; that’s why they let hijackers take the plane.

“The passengers on September 11 were scaredy-cats, because they were mostly white.” "

Anyone know the validity of this quote? Sounds like bullshit to me.

19. 'war profiteer'....naw - he is a 'muckraker'
in the finest tradition. 'The Jungle' was written by a grade A muckraker as well. We need to have the sewage raked out of the lake of our democracy before the dregs overtake the pure water.

Moore is a 'grade A' muckraker......and MORE POWER TO HIM!!!

12. Good. Lets get that information out there.
I'll put it up on my Blog tonight... I'd urge everyone to do what they can to get the word of this out there. The more this kind of information gets out there, the better- there is nothing, absolutely nothing, that is better for getting the American people interested in seeing something than informing them that someone is trying to censor it from them. So, screw these fascist goons. The more they try to surpress the film, the better it'll do.

Thanks for the contact info. I can't wait to praise those who respect freedom of speech.

Those who respect our Constitution.

Those who know this is the United States of America, where we have freedom of expression, where we have a right to choose what we will and won't see - for ourselves.

Don't fucking try to tell me that YOU are going to make this choice for me - get the hell outta my business. I'll see the damn movie if I want to see the damn movie. Your approval is not fucking required.

After you lose this anti-American, anti-Freedom crusade you're on, why don't you take a break, read our Constitution, look up the meaning of freedom, and put your country above your politics.
-----

These anti-freedom right wing thugs might just be about to find out that freedom-loving patriots today are ready to fight back, if that's what it takes. They don't want to go there.

16. kurt nimmo comments on republican desperation....
Edited on Mon Jun-14-04 12:00 AM by professor_pot
"So desperate are Bush Republicans to kill Michael Moore's latest film, Fahrenheit 9/11, they have hired a public relations firm to set up a web site attacking Moore. The site, MoveAmericaForward.com, claims to be "non-partisan," but a glance at the "About" page of the site reveals the director and staff of Move America Forward are all diehard Republicans, anti-tax activists, and former legislative staffers. The PR firm is Russo Marsh & Rogers."

<SNIP>

"millions of Americans are about to learn how George Bush had a business relationship with the Bin Laden family -- and they will learn it right before the election. Russo and the "non-partisan" Republicans want to make sure you never see Moore's film. They don't want you to know the truth about Bush and his buddy-buddy dealings with the Saudis."

17. I just hope.....
Moore 'low-balls' his personal promotion of Fahrenheit 9/11 and lets others carry the water for him....as the movie gets close to release, every word out of the media mouthpieces will be confronting him with some fictitious right-wing crap during every interview to promote the movie....

That's how the media (and remember, media=corporation=Republican) will mainly discredit him and the movie....

Apparently the "vice-chairman" of this moveamericaforward deal is Melanie Morgan, a morning "host" on Bay Area fascist mouthpiece KSFO. I'm not surprised. Charming bunch, not only were they responsible for this Gray Davis recall nonsense getting started, they're the folks who brought Michael "Mr. Friendly" Savage to prominence. Ick.
