Fahrenheit 9/11 given 'R' rating
I noticed on the Apple trailers site this movie has an R rating by the MPAA. Anyone have ideas why it would be given such a rating?

1. torture photos? Graphic war violence?
Sounds like those things are part of the movie. I have to think it would earn an R for that, but I'm only guessing.

3. War scenes

maybe? I know from the trailer it shows that. Salty language? As South Park tells us, "horrible graphic violence is okay as long as you don't use naughty language".

6. This film could be quite shocking
Edited on Sun Jun-13-04 09:23 PM by narcjen
The contents are very real, including the R-rated violence. Like a reality TV show about the reality of war. Hopefully it will get people to finally wake up to the true nature of the war, instead of the happy sanitized media version we get everyday on CNN.

8. I saw an ad for Fahrenheit 911 on TV about an hour ago,
and it said at the end of the ad that 'this film is not yet rated'

11. Just the fact the Bush Admin. is in it
earns it at least PG-13.
