BBV: Andy Stephenson on the campaign trail...
I am in Eastern Washington this week. I have had a tremendous trip so far. I have been cherry picking endorsements along the way and key ones at that. Apparently a poll was done and if the race were held today I would beat my opponent. The poll also shows me in a dead heat with the Republican...This is very encouraging news. Tomorrow, I am speaking at the college here in Pullman Washington. I am addressing an advanced Journalism class which will then write letters to the editor as an assignment. The instructor is a great fan of mine and Bevs'. She is a wonderful lady and had my favorite dinner ready when I got here tonight.

We are staying in a 102 year old theatre tonight, which has been lovingly restored and has nice living quarters in the old balcony area. It is incredible. Apparently there are ghosts here and I am looking forward to meeting them...seems they are very active and quite nice. One of them is the original owner...her name is AnnaBelle. Could prove to be an interesting night.

I will have a complete report on my trip later this week...I will add that I am suprised at the number of people that know me over here. Tomorrow night I am speaking to a crowd which has confirmed 300 people coming from 3 different counties. There are even Republicans coming for the event. Their guy...is not well liked in these parts. I met a fella that went to school with him. Said "I did not trust him then...I don't trust him now."

All in all a great trip so far!

3. Eastern Washington is Repub land
But the ones I have talked to so far are concerned about their vote being counted. They are not happy with their guy in Oly right now, and my opponent voted for Charter Schools. Her achilles heel here on the eastern side of our great state.

5. Way to go, Andy.
As you become better known and campaign contributions start steamrolling, you ought to get someone on your "staff" to send a thank-you to your largest donors. Many of them are likely to give again, and a personalized thank-you can help maximize your 2nd- and 3rd-time donations.

8. There are some good people over there
Lots of people kind of vote by rote, families have been voting Republican for years.

But they won't take any funny business, from either side of the isle.

Appreciate their hard work and dedication to the land.

Great to hear you are polling well.
