6. all my life i've loved cartoons

funny animals yes, but editorial toons. i read thousands of them in the library pertaining to world war two mainly. sometimes an image says more than any column.

8. I have a scrapbook of WWII cartoons

that my grandmother kept. it's a great snapshot of life in those days... and, one of my earliest 'art' projects was a political cartoon... British soldiers on a vaudeville stage pointed their guns at the audience while one soldier displayed 'act cards' labeled: The Stamp Act, etc.... it was titled: CAPTIVE AUDIENCE

9. I remember one......

it was of a cartoonist, hiding under his bed drawing cartoons of hitler. hitler had warned cartoonists to stop ridiculing him and hated to see caricatures of himself.

when reagan croaked, cartoonists were in a quandry for a few days i noticed. now, the shit has hit the fan on reagan's lie of a life.
