Yesterday morning, a DNS check proved that the website organizing harassment of theaters showing "Fahrenheit 9/11" was being run by a political public relations group with strong GOP ties. Yesterday afternoon, the DNS record was changed to remove all references to the PR company. More details on the men behind the scam have been added to this article.

I went to the RW web site that lists the various cinemas showing Fahrenheit 911, as well as the ones that haven't yet committed to the film, and sent out thank-you notes to the former and requests to the latter.

I got this email back from one cinema that's planning on showing the film: "Thanks for your support! We need to hear from more of the good guys!"

This is great!! So c'mon "good guys" - get on the stick and start sending thank-yous to the cinemas who have the guts and patriotism to show this important film. The wingnuts have already gathered the addresses and phone numbers for you here:

This is the type of film that they cannot debate against, so they're just going to make as much noise as they can. Judging from the trailer, F-9/11 is made up of a lot of news clips of Bush and Pals making asses of themselves, and all Moore does is bring them all together in one place. They can't say "Bush didn't say that" because Moore has footage of him saying it. Bush has no concept of the consequences of his actions, and when someone calls him on all his idiotic grandstanding, he needs to lash out.
