5. I've been busy for a couple of months now.
I can't call long distance, so I have been writing letters and e-mailing congress and anyone else I can think of. Right now, I am working on theaters to thank those who are showing Farenheit 9-11 and to insist those who aren't do so.

8. For you, adaircraft, the magic number -- 800-839-5276!
That's a toll-free number to Capitol Hill. Dial, when they answer, ask for the office of the congresscritter you wish to reach.

I've never experienced any problems with it, and the call usually goes right through. No muss, no fuss, no $$$. :)

I, also, can't afford the long-distance, so I was overjoyed to find this number from calimary. It's *wonderful* to be able to have my say. ^_^

One word about snail letters...... thanks to the anthrax "scare", the Washington offices no longer open letters. You can write to them at their homestate addy, though...... some open those and some don't. So, all in all, the call works easier, and saves stamps, unless you know that the mail is opened for sure in your congresscritters office. I called mine to find out about that.

Thanks so much for all your efforts!

6. Thanks to you all, you made the calls and did something.
Someone said Democracy is not a spectator sport.......

Cheers to you all and keep on calling please. Most important thing anyone can hear is CONTEMPT of CONGRESS and VIOLATION OF OUR CONSTITUTION.

Follow up with phone calls on this issue, it is the most important facing us this week, beyond all the rest of the other issues.

7. Been doing it...Faxes are really good if you can do it. That's what I
heard, and I've gotten more replies from faxes, but that's from my local Reps. Phone calls they have to keep a log of them, so they are good, too. Even letters except with the Antrax scare I wonder how long it takes them to screen every one these days.

Thanks for keeping this up, encouraging folks.

9. Wish I could afford to fax........
I have a feeling they're more effective, too. Especially for those times when a congresscritter is giving a speech about some issue, and has a stack of letters to bring in to show just how much support there is for it.

sigh........

Poop on the anthraxer! :)
