What's playing at the Grand Lake Theatre in Oaktown? (My hometown, Barbara Lee country!)

1. Interesting
I'll bet they will get some complaints for that.

7. And how much hate radio have we had to deal with the past decade?
To those who don't like the message, tough noogies. The truth hurts only the liars; an informed populace is how democracy is protected.

10. They've been doing it for a while

I haven't heard of any protests. This is a pretty liberal part of the country.

I drive right by there to get to work. I have to remember to check the marquee more often. You can see it from the freeway -- on the main approach to the Bay Bridge to SF.

5. It's very cruel!
It must be the Marquee de Sade.

(just borrowing your joke's coattails. Sorry. :)

Off to edit my posts, Your Grace. BTW, that's why I never criticize people's spelling unless they're correcting someone else. Now, grammer, I know. (Joke: I know it's grammar.)

13. I could not resist.
And if you could see some of the misspelled crap that comes out of the end of these Fred Flintstone fingers (before editing), you'd wonder if I knew any English at all.

:D

12. It's in Oaktown aka Bump City
aka Oakland, California. The theatre is at one end of Lake Merritt, which is the first wildlife refuge in the US of A. I love Oaktown!

I was looking to see if they'll be showing Fahrenheit 9/11. I imagine they will.

There's probably a bunch of artists living there or something!

16. That's what I wondering...
I figure they're not showing movies there anymore, with that stuff on the marquee. I saw "E.T." there, circa 1981.
