Instead of a Draft, let's just build Suicide Booths
intstead of drafting people who don't want to go to iraq to kill and torture and die, let's save a lot of grief and build thousands of suicide booths in all the major cities.

if they actually begin a draft situation again, as they did during the vietnam war, will people go willingly to iraq just because someone sent them a letter and a threat of prison?

will we actually send our sons and daughters and OURSELVES off to war without so much as a wimper of protest?

i truly believe that all holy hell will break loose when this becomes law. i honestly think that this single act of legislation will bring all this madness to an abrupt end.

i could be wrong though, i've got a track record. the threat of prison is a real threat, and a few will go rather than be cannon fodder in a war based on lies an greed.

wouldn't it be more practical and cost effective to just go with the suicide booths?

1. Dr. Kevorkian is not availible
Seriously, I think many kids will just compliantly go if drafted. They won't be very political, nor will they know much about foreign policy or Middle Eastern politics. They'll just go because the government says they have to go.

2. Cool idea!

Have you been reading Vonnegut?

I'm all for suicide booths for people with incurable diseases.

How about you?

3. Hey, that means "Futurama" had some social impact! Except, with cost,
FOX got scared of the show, one reason of many was the 'suicide booth' at every corner. :-)

But with the amount of money and oil needed to build and maintain these machines... having them die on the front is a cheaper, and more noble :eyes:, cause.

4. One of the first broadcasts of Futurama...
I love it! Instead of suicide booths though, I would suggest that we institute a new elementary school game, kind of an extension of an old game called Red Rover, but this time we arm the kids! That way, only the true warriors will be left to fight in these unholy wars and no one will be left to dissent. (sarcasm off)
