Oh freakin' joy-a new political term "Purple States"
I just heard this on HARDBALL. Chris Mathews explained, "remember those crayons....the blue and the red made purple". So Swing states have been dumbed down and colorcoded.

Oh and Pataki was asked (surprise) by Mathews if Bush has any similarities to Reagan.......why YES they both had bold/clear visions and they didn't care what the critics (in the media.........and FACTS) had to say. Yes indeed it has started-Reagan has risen from the grave to run again. Sort of a figurehead for a figurehead thing which might remind you of European royalty of years past but then that would be UNAMERICAN so stop thinking that (not that it will be brought up).

2. Yeah, I read that somewhere else
I know, that was helpful... Maybe it was in Slate... It sounds and feels like a marketing term, though, doesn't it?
