John Kerry is planning on naming his VP sometime within next 3 weeks....

It could be tomorrow... It could be three weeks from now. He's doing his best to keep the media off-guard. :) He will give the scoop to the first reporter that inquires on the specific day. This is not meant to create any competition amongst the networks or cable but simply to put them on notice. It will be a feather in the hat for the lucky reporter that breaks the story...

Now why would he do such a thing? :)

6. This is speculation but for a purpose.....

The purpose is to show how the Repubs manipulate the media and get the press to stand on their spots until they are ready to tell them what they want them to hear. It would be easy for Kerry to do the same thing. I could just imagine if Kerry were to come out tomorrow and make the announcement that he will choose his VP in 3 weeks, the media would be there every day with the story - hoping to be the first with the scoop....It would keep it in the news cycle and would permit the story to build in drama and anticipation... :)
