Stripping Prisoners of Their Clothes and Dignity
Stripping Prisoners of Their Clothes and Dignity: Overseas and in the US

Depriving prisoners of clothing is a humiliating tactic used by the US in Iraq and elsewhere The tactic is even used on American prisoners arrested here.

Bush says the mistreatment of prisoners in Iraq was only "conduct by a few American troops."

Anyone paying attention knows Bush is lying.

STRIPPING PRISONERS ABROAD

There was a policy of humiliating Iraqi prisoners, which was carried out through widespread forced nakedness, since at least July 2003, before worse things were done to the prisoners, later revealed to the public in photographs. 2

The New York Times reports:

When Red Cross monitors expressed alarm about prisoners being left in their cells or forced to move about naked, they said military intelligence officials "confirmed that it was part of the military intelligence process."
