Can you actually believe anything this Administration says ?
If they say they have created 1.4 million jobs in the last 9 months, can you really believe them? Or, as usual, will they come out later and say they were wrong - as they have done repeatedly for the last three years? Just as they did a few days ago when they tried to tell people that terorist attacks were at the lowest point in 34 years. Wow! That's pretty impressive. We must be winning the war? Unfortunately it was a lie. Terrorist attacks were at an all-time high last year.

So, if they say they have found WMDs in Iraq....again, are you going to believe them? If they say they have evidence Saddam was connected to the al Qaeda, are you going to believe them? Do so at your own peril. You have been advised.

2. we haven't caught them in one truth yet
i believe that every single utterance from the white house has been a lie. so, no, i don't believe a word of it. if they said the sky was blue i'd call it a damn lie. they don't even try to be cagey about it anymore. just tell big lies, backed up with giant lies.

and why not? no one is stopping them.

4. No, nothing
Their one, single accomplishment is to bring lying to an art form never before seen in politics, which is already the most lying arena there is.

6. No, and that is what is dangerous
because someday they may have to tell us something important that is true, and we won't listen. At least, I know I won't. They have zero credibility with me.

That is sad, frightening and dangerous.

10. that's the lesson of the boy who cried wolf
and it's profoundly true still. the more asskkkroft marches out and plays dracula, the less we'll give a crap when the real thing goes down. but then, it'll be too late

7. When you lie about the weather...
As they did when Bush had his motorbike "accident", you can't believe a single, goddamned word this White House says.

Lies, lies and more lies from this Adminstration. It's been a veritable orgy of lies the past 4 years.

12. One of the features of totalitarianism
Edited on Tue Jun-15-04 07:15 AM by teryang
...it the total indifference to the truth and whether anyone believes a government pronouncement.

Reports aren't meant to be descriptive. They are INSTRUCTIVE and told in the IMPERATIVE. "Americans need to know..." "The world must understand..." "You are with us or against us..." "The world is changed..." "We are at war..." "I am a wartime President..." "I instructed our forces to comply with the law, that is all you need to know, that should comfort you."
